Research interests

• In a wider sense: the relatonship between literature and film; literature and arts in the 20th and 21st century.
• In a narrow sense: the relations of memory, history and the use of private image/home video in the films of Péter Forgács.

 

Major research projects

• October 2010: field trip to Budapest, Department of Film Studies, ELTE sponsored by the Domus Hungarica scholarship. Consultant: dr. Gábor Gelencsér.
• 9th November 2009: participant of the conference for PhD students in Budapest organised by the Balassi Institute. The title of my presentation: The Relations of Memory, History and the Use of Private Image/Home Video in Péter Forgács’ Von Höfler vagyok (Werther-variáció).
• 7–14 October 2008: participant of the workshop for film critics within the scope of the 4. Moveast International Film Festival, Pécs, Hungary. The leader of the workshop: György Báron.
• 19–21 June 2008: participant of the international workshop A Global Webbing of Diverging Agendas. 
• Synchronicity and Asynchronicity in Contemporary Culture and Politics, ELTE, Budapest. The title of my presentation: Time Structure of Péter Nádas’ and Péter Forgács’ Saját halál.
